Hall Hire — Information & Rate Card
Overview
Kimichi School Worcester's hall, communal kitchen, toilets and outside space are available to hire outside of school hours for community groups, private events, clubs and organisations. This document sets out what is included, what you need to provide, and how to book.
What's Included in Your Hire
Space
What's provided
Main Hall
Open floor space, tables and chairs (stacked, ready to arrange), PA point, mains power sockets
Communal Kitchen
Kettle, microwave, fridge, hob/oven, sink, worktop space, crockery (please wash and put away)
Toilets
Accessible and standard toilet facilities adjacent to the hall
Outside Space
Fenced outdoor area suitable for activities, arrival/departure and, where agreed, parking
Hire Rate
£30.00 per hour, minimum booking of 2 hours.
- Refundable damage deposit: £100, returned within 5 working days if no damage or additional cleaning is required.
- Payment due in full at time of booking confirmation, by bank transfer.
- Regular/block bookings (e.g. weekly clubs) can be invoiced monthly — please ask.
What You Need to Provide
- Proof of Public Liability Insurance, minimum £5 million cover, valid for the date(s) of hire — this must be provided before your booking is confirmed.
- If your event involves children or vulnerable adults, written confirmation that appropriate safeguarding arrangements and DBS checks are in place for your staff/volunteers.
- Your own catering supplies, equipment, decorations and any specialist items (we do not provide catering).
- A named responsible adult present throughout the hire who will be our point of contact on the day.
- Arrangements to clear away and leave the space, kitchen and toilets clean and as found.
What's Not Covered
- Access to classrooms, offices or any part of the school building other than the hall, kitchen, toilets and outside space named above.
- Staffing, supervision or activity leadership — this remains the hirer's responsibility throughout.
- Kimichi School's own insurance does not extend to cover the hirer's activity, equipment or guests.
Checking Availability & Booking
- Availability is shown on our live Hall Hire calendar on the website — please check this first for a free date and time.
- Submit a booking request using the online contract (see separate document/form), including your insurance certificate.
- We will confirm your booking in writing within 3 working days and add it to the calendar.
- Provisional slots are held for 5 working days pending receipt of insurance and payment, after which they may be released.
Cancellation Policy
- 14+ days' notice: full refund of hire fee.
- 7–13 days' notice: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days' notice or non-attendance: no refund. Damage deposit is unaffected by cancellation.
- Kimichi School reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g. school closure), in which case a full refund will be given.
